Desperately seeking...the man of my sister's dreams?

I come from a family of dreamers.

Several months ago, my sister called to tell me she'd had a dream about me. In her dream, we were gathered at my wedding dinner. My groom was tall and quiet. His name was Kerrick. A combination of Kevin + Erick?

"Funny!" I laughed. ;)

Meanwhile, I was becoming rather bored with my dating life (ahem). I decided to try out a reputable online matchmaking service. Just for a month. For the experience.

At the very least I'd have something to talk about.

I signed up on February 10th. On February 11th a guy started contacting me. His name was Kevin. He was tallish. Seemed quiet.

"Interesting..." I thought, remembering my sister's dream.

I had a good time getting to know my new friend. But my aunt was not satisfied -- she had someone else in mind for me. A family-friend, Rick.

She pulled some strings, and next thing I know, there's an email in my inbox from said Rick. Suddenly, I was regularly corresponding with two nice, intelligent, interesting LDS single guys.

Named Kevin. And Rick. KE-RICK?!?

Long story short...I'm still single. ;) And, I definitely didn't renew my membership after the month was over. Maybe you won't agree, but I think one has to be a romantic [and have a less cryptic sense of humor] to be successful at online dating.

So. Here I am again, without my tall and quiet groom. *sigh* Back to my lackluster dating life, but -- feeling somehow more patient as I pursue life dreams...of my own. ;)
