Vacation of the Best Kind

Friend Stacey and I both needed a little escape from the city. We headed south Friday night.

Shared a hostel dorm room with 5 guys from India, one Quebecua, and a couple other dudes. Hostels are my new favorite thing. Except for the snoring.

Our new French Canadian friend, Samuel, was stranded with a broken car...so we invited him to spend Saturday with us. Which ended up being SUPER-fun.

Samuel is a beautiful soul who likes to climb rocks, does tricks on BMX bikes, loves the power of death metal, doesn't believe in God, does believe that Jesus is a good example, genuinely loves everybody, and wants to have kids ("That is why we are on this planet - to procreate" he says. Cute). On his way home from British Columbia, he is detouring through the States to do some rock-climbing and pick up cotton diapers for his sister (the greenest person he knows). I am glad his car broke down in Moab. It is good to know a Quebecua brother.

I love red rocks, green foliage, sunny blue skies, hikes, scenic overlooks, new friends, French accents, and road trips with Stace.
